We will hopefully have a Diminished Seven recording done at some point. Until then feel free to download some of my solo stuff.
The bulk of “Stomp & Holler” was recorded in my kitchen July 4th. weekend 2007. My wife would take our 2 year old daughter on walks around the neighborhood to allow me to record this record. When they would leave I would set up the drums, tune my guitars, set up the recording gear, press record and play. Thirty to fourty-five minutes later they would come walking in the door. I had to quickly put everything away due to the curiosity and clumsiness of 2 year olds.
All instruments were played by me at the same time (except track #5 my good friend Ezra Holbrook played Bass, Drums and sang harmonies all at the same time).
Tracks: 1,2,3,6,8, & 9 were recorded in my kitchen using a single large diaghpram microphone into a 4-track cassette recorder.
Tracks: 4,5,7, & 10 recorded at Mastan Music in Portland, OR.
Additional notes:
Track #3, and 8, “Tie ‘em Down” and “Pay Day” are played on two different models of the Schoen Turbo-Diddley made by master luthier Kurt Schoen
Track #4, 7, and 10, “ Subverso Stomp”, “John Henry”and “Preachin’ Blues” were recorded using a fretless 4 string instrument that I build called the Subverso~Fiddle.
Here are two bonus out-takes from the Mastan recording session:

I have not checked the link yet but “Pandelerium” makes me think of the Legendary Shack Shakers and the similar album art work. I found out about this image after I made Stomp & Holler. I scanned a post card for “Grove’s Chill Tonic” ca. 1919 that came in a book of 1000 postcards. I think I did a better job
